Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band Did Not Disappoint!
Firstly, Michigan Theater is an excellent venue. They have the sound down so that it is not too loud, but it is still a concert experience.
Secondly, KWS and company are outstanding. In the blues rock genre, you are hard pressed to find a better act. It goes without saying that KWS is a remarkable guitarist, and he did not disappoint. I watched Troy Franklin lay down his grooves and knew that he was something special - then he played his bass solo, and my intuition was confirmed - the guy can play. I also enjoyed watching the keyboardist, Riley Osbourn, who was a real treat to observe. Finally, Noah Hunt's vocals have lost none of their power over the years.
I did not know that they were going to play the entirety of "Trouble Is" for this show, and it was a treat, as I love hearing entire albums live.
All in all, do not miss your favorite act at the Michigan Theater, and definitely do not miss KWS on this tour!
